What is SLU-PP-332?

SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic, non-peptide agonist of the estrogen-related receptors ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ—nuclear receptors that regulate mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism.

Mechanism of Action

By activating ERRs, particularly ERRα, SLU-PP-332 induces genes associated with aerobic, exercise-like adaptations in skeletal muscle, increasing fatty-acid oxidation and mitochondrial function in study models.

Research Applications

SLU-PP-332 is investigated in research on obesity, insulin resistance, endurance capacity and age-related metabolic decline.
