What is PNC-27?

PNC-27 is a 32-amino-acid peptide containing the HDM-2–binding domain of the p53 protein (residues 12–26) linked to a membrane-residency peptide.

Mechanism of Action

PNC-27 binds HDM-2 expressed on the membranes of cancer cells, forming transmembrane pores that cause cell lysis, while normal cells—which lack membrane HDM-2—are largely unaffected in laboratory models.

Research Applications

PNC-27 is studied in in-vitro oncology research on membrane-targeted mechanisms of cancer-cell death.

Storage & Handling

Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder for maximum stability. Store unopened vials at -20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe appropriate to your study protocol.
