What is KPV?
KPV is a naturally occurring tripeptide corresponding to residues 11–13 of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It retains α-MSH’s anti-inflammatory properties without its pigmentary effects.
Mechanism of Action
KPV enters cells via the PepT1 transporter and inhibits the NF-κB inflammatory pathway, reducing production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. It also exhibits antimicrobial activity in study models.
Research Applications
KPV is studied in research on inflammatory bowel conditions, colitis, dermatitis and wound healing.

Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder for maximum stability. Store unopened vials at -20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe appropriate to your study protocol.
