What is Sermorelin?

Sermorelin acetate is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the first 29 amino acids of human growth hormone–releasing hormone—the shortest fragment that retains full biological activity.

Mechanism of Action

Sermorelin binds GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating the synthesis and pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone and, in turn, IGF-1. Its action remains subject to normal somatostatin feedback.

Research Applications

Sermorelin is used in research into the GH–IGF-1 axis, age-related decline in growth-hormone secretion, body composition and sleep architecture.

Storage & Handling

Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder for maximum stability. Store unopened vials at -20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe appropriate to your study protocol.
