What is GHRP-6?
Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6 is one of the first-generation synthetic GH secretagogues.
Mechanism of Action
GHRP-6 activates the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a), stimulating growth-hormone release from the pituitary. Its ghrelin-like action also increases hunger signalling, and it can modestly raise cortisol and prolactin.
Research Applications
GHRP-6 is used in research on GH secretion, appetite regulation, cytoprotection and recovery.
